Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) Loans
The SBA Paycheck Protection Program provides small businesses with forgivable loans to pay up to eight weeks of payroll costs including benefits. Funds can also be used to pay interest on mortgages, rent, and utilities. Learn more about the current status of the program.
SBA Coronavirus Relief Options
The SBA offers multiple funding options in addition to PPP for small businesses seeking relief, such as Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL) and the Shuttered Venue Operators (SVO) Grant Program.
Maine Economic Recovery Grants
The State of Maine uses CARES Act relief funding to help support Maine-based businesses. Learn more about grant opportunities.
CEI

GPCOG
Greater Portland Council of Governments (GPCOG) provides loans and grants to businesses in Cumberland County to help alleviate the impact of COVID-19. Learn more about their four primary programs: Microenterprise Program, Job Program, Rapid-Response Microloan Program, and Regional Revolving Loan Program. GPCOG asks that businesses located in Portland start by connecting with the City of Portland’s loan and grant programs first.
Maine SBDC
The Maine Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is committed to doing everything they can to help businesses navigate the challenges they face as a result of COVID-19. Their website addresses how to assess the impact the pandemic has had on your business, create a plan to sustain your business, and make better decisions about your business’ future.
